Using the most advanced technology in the field of accident reconstruction, the eBee manufactured by SenseFly is a sophisticated fixed-wing, unmanned aircraft that can capture measurements with centimeter accuracy. Like never before, collision scenes and the surrounding areas can come to life in remarkably accurate 3D models. The observer can see first-hand the terrain, roadway configuration, and physical evidence at any given scene.

The eBee takes a series of high-resolution photographs that are geo-referenced through GPS coordinates. It has the ability to fix its location on the Earth to the maximum degree of accuracy, which makes the geo-referenced photographs just as accurate. Once a scene is captured, the photographs are processed in an advanced software program called Pix4D. The program creates 3D point clouds and high-resolution, aerial images with very precise longitudinal, lateral and vertical distances.

The 3D point clouds and high-resolution aerial photographs offer a totally unique depiction of a collision scene. The level of detail and data generated by the eBee and accompanying software is unmatched by all other data collection systems used by reconstructionists. A collision scene measured by this instrument will far exceed expectations and raises the bar for the standards in the field of accident reconstruction.
